A community event celebrating Black History Month using the power of personal storytelling.
In our first instalment of 6×6, a storytelling evening where speakers have 6 slides and 6 minutes, we wanted to ask “Who are the black inspirational figures that have inspired your life?” With 10 brilliant speakers and a hugely supportive audience, we spent the evening listening to inspiring personal stories to celebrate Black History Month. In partnership with Yellow Zine, a platform who aims to champion stories of black culture, we crowdsourced a collection of diverse speakers across the creative industry who spoke with passion and admiration of their chosen icons. Stories ranged from loved ones, musicians, poets, comedians, athletes and more, all brought to life completely unique presentations.
