The Hypercycle Sessions: Episode 2 – Remembering Your Creative Voice with Timba Smits

The Hypercycle is everywhere. If we continue to treat the creative work of today in the throwaway manner that we see all around us, if the language and understanding of the creative process continues to be taken for granted, then this Hypercycle will continue to takeover and nothing but creative disorientation will emerge. This is the inconvenient truth for culture.

Following up from the successful introduction to The Hypercycle Sessions at 71A by Dannie-Lu Carr in early April, Timba Smits takes to the stage next for episode 2 with his session “Remembering Your Creative Voice” – a talk aimed at valuing your own ideas and original style amongst the noise and cacophony of the internet and social media machine.

Pulling from his experience as one of the worlds most sought-after illustrators and creative director of TCOLondon (Little White Lies, Huck), Timba will share his personal insights on avoiding the hypercycle and creative disorientation, it’s danger to the creative process and the importance of putting less out, but making more.

Places are extremely limited!
